My Story

I am a professional costume maker, crafter and teacher.  I am passionate about reducing waste and increasing sustainability.  In recent years we have all become aware of the incredible waste not just from our fashion industry but within our own homes.

 

I love the potential of fabric and with recherish I aim to provide a holistic approach to using textiles in unique, inspiring and creative ways.  Giving you the opportunity to develop skills and reimagine those items we just can’t bear to throw away.

Clothes hold memories and are special, once treasured items can become part of our everyday lives once more and give us a smile.

 

Imagine the amazing dress you bought on holiday that no longer fits, it could be readjusted to fit well or repurposed as a cushion.  Or your child’s Babygro’s can become a blanket or a favourite animal!  The treasured clothing of a loved one who sadly passed away can be reimagined as a piece of wall art.

I hope to show that the only limit is our imagination, your clothing and textiles can remain out of landfill, you can learn new skills, develop existing ones, increase your wellbeing and creativity through craft and recherish once loved items!
